An unfortunate turn of events. After Glebe stopped St. Peters opening drive, Glebe's QB on the attempt to return the punt was ran into by a player from St. Pete's which resulted in a massive charlie horse to the point Glebe's QB could not walk. Glebe was forced to use their back up which was not able to compete at this level. After two single point drives by St. Petes, the score was 2-0 for St.Petes. Glebe's QB attempted to play despite her leg injury. Glebe marched the ball to St.Pete's 10 yrd line and in turn threw an interception. Glebe's QB unable to defend because of her leg, St. Petes gained excellent field position on Glebe's 5 yrd line. St.Pete's QB easily scored running the ball in for a touch down. 8-0 for St.Pete's. Glebe's QB attempted to march the ball again all the way to the 20yrd line when a player from St.Pete's ran into the Glebe QB again injuring the same spot. Glebe's back up was non affective again. St.Pete's offense was stopped again and Glebe's QB went back in. With one good leg Glebe scores and ties up the game with a two point conversion. 8-8 tie game. St. Pete's is stopped in their final drive. Time runs out and the game goes to overtime. St.Pete's wins by best of 3 in converts by one point.
