Cougar Cup

Hockey tournament in Ottawa-Gloucester, ON on Jan 6 – 7, 2011

Colonel By Secondary School is once again hosting the annual 'Cougar Cup' boys' high school hockey tourney this coming school year.  The tourney will take place on Thurs Jan 6th and Fri Jan 7th from 8am - 5:30pm each day at the Fred Barrett rec complex (formerly Leitrim arena).

The tournament is set to host 12 teams that will be separated into 4 divisions of 3.  Teams will play their 2 divisional games on Thurs and will be seeded according to those results for the playoff round on Friday.  Teams finishing at the top of each division will vie for the A championship, teams finishing 2nd in their division will fight for the B title and the teams finishing 3rd in their division will compete for the C honour.  

Tourney entry fee this year is $525 - guaranteed 3 games, max 4.

Awards are given to all level champions and the A finalists, as well as the tourney all-star team, chosen by the tourney committee, and all players chosen to that team will receive a take-home award.  In the A final, the tourney MVP will be determined and that player will take home a prize as well.

Canteen available at the rink.  Subway across the road.  Many other amenities just a few minutes away.
